I have always loved teaching, and it's always been an important part of my life. I started as a teaching assistant in dance classes when I was 9. I started teaching outside of dance when I was 11, continued from grades 7 to 10: the neighbouring elementary school started an hour before my junior/high school. I would go in early and volunteer in a classroom, given various responsibilities. Teaching is highly rewarding to me and bolsters my enthusiasm for my own learning.
I've been fortunate to have amazing opportunities to teach, mentor, and develop curricula in various capacities during my time at Duke.
